Arrival Instructions

🚖 If you’ve added the pre-booked Epping Station Transfers

Your pre-paid minicab will pick you up 15 minutes before the time of your slot from Lawlor Minicabs in Epping.

  • Exit Epping Station via the main exit and turn left to find Lawlor Minicabs. Inform them you’re there for the alpaca tour.
  • Arrive early, they can’t wait for latecomers, and your ticket is forfeited if you miss the taxi.
  • Need a coffee first? We recommend Fred and Dougs on the Epping high street.
  • It’s up to a 10-minute walk from the drop-off location to the alpaca field, which includes a small hill.

🚗 If You’re driving to us

  • We’ll provide a Google Maps pin and detailed arrival instructions in your confirmation email. We’re a few minutes drive from Epping station.
  • Free parking is available on our field near the road, though it’s at your own risk and the surface can be uneven. If your vehicle has low ground clearance (e.g., a sports car), we recommend parking at Epping Station or Cottis Yard multi-storey in Epping and taking a taxi instead.
  • If you’re not driving, please consider pre-booking a return trip with Lawlor Minicabs at Epping station, as Uber service can be limited in our area.
  • It’s up to a 10-minute walk from the parking or taxi drop-off to the alpaca field.

Important Info & Safety

🚻 Facilities

  • No Toilets On-Site: The alpaca field has no restroom facilities. We believe Epping station still operates toilets.
  • No Food Allowed: Human snacks can be harmful to our alpacas.

👟 Clothing & Footwear

  • Long Trousers & Outdoor Shoes: Required year-round. No flip flops due to uneven ground, nettles and thistles.
  • Outside of Summer, wellies or hiking boots are mandatory for safety due to the likely mud.
  • We offer wellington boots hire.
  • Bring a plastic bag for muddy boots if you’re taking a taxi or minicab.

🐶 Dogs

We love dogs, but our alpacas don’t. Please leave pets at home.

🦙 Alpaca Behavior

Our alpacas are friendly and used to people, but they can spit (mainly at each other) if startled or asserting dominance. A brief safety talk on arrival will cover the do’s and don’ts.

✅ Licensed & Trusted

We’re licensed by the Epping Forest District Council for the exhibition of animals. View our license details on the Contact us page.
